LPLFixup

LPLFixup is a Greasemonkey script that fixes some annoyances at the La Crosse Public Library's web site, particularly the card catalog. Features:

  • Ability to remember your library card number and PIN and fill in the login form.
  • Can automatically log in when you are presented with a login form.
  • Disables the card catalog's automatic logout "feature" -- logging out people after five minutes only makes sense at a library kiosk.
  • Changes the fields on the login page from password fields to normal text fields, so that you can see any typos in your fourteen-digit barcode.
  • Adds titles to pages missing them.
  • Makes text that is not a link not appear as one.
  • On non-catalog pages (such as the home page), the flowery red background is made to tile correctly so that red doesn't show up to the right on a large screen.
  • Many other minor improvements (see the changelog in the source code for more).

All of these features can be disabled, and your barcode and PIN can be erased at any time.
